Last week I was part of Yoshiko Chuma 's shows “Two Chapters - Secret Journey” at Doc11 in Berlin and I made this film. I had 2 ‘missions’ in the piece.
1) 6 x a 2-3 minute improvised dancing solo.
2) shoot video during performance at any moment. This is not the first time that I have had those ‘missions’ as my role in Yoshiko’s work. I really came to like the feeling of crossing the stage whenever I want or I could stand in the middle of the stage and film the audience. T

Having two artists in the house is not so easy especially for a couple like us who have children and everyday life is like a marathon. I came across one colorful but not really fashionable photo on Facebook... it somehow caught my eye because it took me back to a nostalgic place..: maybe it was the unpretentious smiles on their faces. It was Yoshiko Chuma among her local friends in Palestine standing in the middle of an exotic Middle Eastern market. I have never been to Palestine but I probably felt a connection with that picture.
I wrote to her spontaneously - just one sentence: "Why are you there?”
