Meeting and working with Redha Benteifour was definitely one of the top 3 highlights in my dance career. I must say that I was completely bowled over by this artistic genius's big vision + around that time I was shifting from being a dreamer-ballerina to a " I wanna do something different, be free and wild" kind of dancer (Although, I always knew that only wearing pink tights, tiaras and pretty tutus playing princesses and butterflies was not really my thing..!) Redha pushed me to the limit artistically and I was thrilled to learn how far I could go. I was having so much fun, it was almost sad to end this sexy, outrageous production "Access All Areas" in 2001 at the Dutch National Ballet. Redha told me at the end "We will work together again soon ...Or maybe later after some life experience, even when you get to be a 60 or 70 year old grandma, we will still do it." It still melts my heart when I think of those words.
These are the rich experiences that make me grateful to be an artist: real lifelong treasures that you can't buy....
......and missing this angel ❤️
